Sony has just released what is the first trailer of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse , the animated film made in parallel to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and that will hit theaters at the end of the year. In it we can see not only the new Spider-Man, whose real identity is that of the young African-American Miles Morales, but also Peter Parker in the role of mentor and an unexpected Gwen. The main character of the first in a film of this type is, without doubt, the great news, as expressed by his screenwriter:
We are delighted to help bring the story of Miles Morales to the big screen. His story makes a sensation in the comics, we loved it, and we were so inspired that we tried to find a way to tell his story visually that was consistent with that.
The latter is what most attracts attention in the trailer, without a doubt, since it is extremely visual and tries to compose from different perspectives a true story to the comics taking care of the detail. It differs this way from the majority of animated films taken to the big screen in a commercial way and promises to be a production of those that leave their mark. Regarding the new protagonist, Miles Morales, his producer tells the following: “He is half Puerto Rican, half African American, he is a product of a happy and alive family, he is 13. All that says a lot about the type of hero he will become ”
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has its premiere scheduled for December 18 of this year.
